The UK’s largest water retailer has launched a major tree-planting partnership – and is looking for suggestions of organisations, sites and areas to take part

Water Plus is appealing for people to get in touch through their social media channels, or emailing , if they have a suggestion of a business, community group, farmer, or other organisation in areas that see high levels of rainfall each year – and say how trees would benefit their area. As part of ways it’s supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the water retailer has also started trialling high tech Air2Eau units that create drinking water from thin air – in a first for their sector in the UK. The Air2Eau atmospheric water generators are at its main office and are part of the business exploring innovative technology that can help customers and reduce the impact Water Plus has on natural resources and the environment.

Laura McNamee, Sustainability and Customer Products Lead at Water Plus, said: “We’re committed to making sustainability and minimising our environmental impact core to our business, our people and our customers and these new units are just part of what we’re doing. We’ll be saying more on the action we’re taking later this year – so watch out for more.” For more examples of water savings possible from even small steps – and other tips for organisations of all sizes, go to:
