March 2010: Waterwise response to Ofwat consultation on its forward programme 2010-11 to 2012-13

February 2010: Waterwise response to the CLG consultation on The Code for Sustainable Homes and the Energy Efficiency Standard for Zero Carbon: “Sustainable New Homes – the Road to Zero Carbon”
Waterwise recognises that pressures on the housing market have led to the decision to row back on the mandatory Code Level 3 commitment for all new homes, and to focus on carbon issues only, but urges the government to consult within the next 12 months on reverting to this as soon as possible. Waterwise also urges the government to consult as soon as possible on the review of the water Fittings Regulations, which was due in 2009.

February 2010: Waterwise response to DECC consultation on Extending the Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (CERT) to December 2012
Waterwise sets out proposals to change CERT so that the potential carbon savings from hot water efficiency measures are fully realised. Waterwise also sets out related proposals to ensure the potential carbon and water savings from both hot and cold water efficiency measures are fully realised, in the context of government plans and strategies to both mitigate climate change and adapt to it, and to develop the low carbon economy.
