| Walker Review's Environmental Workshop |
|
Nicci Russell, Waterwise's Policy Director, spoke at the Walker Review's Environmental Workshop, on the benefits of delivering large-scale water efficiency retrofits through partnerships. The benefits include shared cost and increased consumer engagement. Nicci illustrated her presentation with examples of Waterwise partnerships with water companies, WWF and social housing organisations; including the Preston Project, Rivers on the Edge and the Greener Living Fund-funded SHARE project.

| Waterwise Marque product brochures |
Waterwise has developed some Waterwise Marque product brochures to help you see what water efficient products are available. We have also re-jigged our water saving devices pages so that they are more neatly laid out to help you see what other products are available. We welcome any feedback - so please contact us if you want to let us know what you think.

|
|
This training hopes to provide solutions to issues such as:
“How are we going to meet higher levels of the Code?”
“Our residents in water-efficient properties are angry that their kettle takes over 40 seconds to fill up.”
“How are we supposed to encourage residents to be water-efficient when they don’t have a water meter?”
And is open to housing associations, developers, consultants and anyone else involved in the development of social housing in the East of England.

| How do home-owners feel about water-efficient properties? |
There is little point installing fixtures and fittings that the end consumer will not accept and may even remove. Therefore it is important to consider the end-user's attitudes when designing a water-efficient home. Waterwise East has collated existing research on householder attitudes to water efficiency. For example, many homeowners are concerned over how much electricity (75%) and water (61%) they use, and consumers are most happy with water-efficient showers and dual-flush toilets, but least keen on the idea of a water-efficient bath. | Water and behaviour change Bulletin |
The purpose of this e-Bulletin is to share research and activities related to water and behaviour change. We intend for the e-Bulletin to be interactive and so we ask subscribers to email us with news, announcements, events, requests for information, opportunities for collaboration and other information, which we will include in future W&BC e-Bulletins.
