The Annual Water Efficiency Conference is held each year at Lady Margaret Hall in Oxford. This year's conference took place on 22 March, with a pre-conference dinner on the 21 March. It focused on the key themes of People and Water Efficiency and Evidence for Water Efficiency, and featured a very high calibre of speakers, as outlined below.

Each of the sessions were followed by a Q & A, allowing conference participants an unprecedented chance to raise water efficiency issues with regulators, government, practitioners from both the water industry and other industries and academics. The dinner on the 21st March included a facilitated discussion on the impact of metering on water efficiency and offered a unique networking opportunity for the water efficiency community.
The event brought together the leading policy makers, doers and thinkers on water efficiency, both as speakers and participants, offering an opportunity to network and exchange ideas that will shape water efficiency at this critical time. The conference covered the full range of water efficiency from the economic, social and environmental aspects to the technical applications and innovation.
