Terms and conditions

Entries will be accepted from public, private and third sector companies, organisations and charities taking responsibility for any water efficiency project delivering results within the United Kingdom, which means that companies whose registered address is not in the UK are eligible to apply so long as projects are delivered in the UK.

Projects involving organisations that are represented on the judging panel may still be entered into the awards. The entry will go forward to the Judging Panel, with the project-affiliated judge stepping aside for scoring of that entry.

Projects that previously were awarded an Environment Agency Water Efficiency Award are not eligible to enter again.

Only those companies delivering projects in and with registered addresses in Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales will be considered for the Exemplar Project categories.

All entries must be received by midnight on Thursday 31st December 2015 in order to be considered for awards; under no circumstances will late entries be accepted – these will automatically be discarded and thus will not be judged.

All entries must be via the official Entry Form, which must be returned by email to Waterwise at info@waterwise.org.uk; entries not using the Entry Form or with incomplete forms as well as those submitting via fax or post will automatically be discarded and thus will not be judged.

Waterwise reserve the right to amend the entry closing date and/or entry process at any time and without prior notice.

Entry does not automatically guarantee progress into subsequent rounds of the process.

Receipt of entries will be confirmed by the end of January 2016; if you have not received confirmation of receipt of your entry by that time, you are responsible for notifying Waterwise by the end of the first week of February 2016.

The decision of the judging panel is final; there will be no process for appeals.

Waterwise will not consider any queries relating to the judging process or judges’ decisions; Waterwise will strive to provide entrants with some feedback on entries, via the decision letters in February.

An entry will be immediately disqualified is it is found that the company(ies) responsible for the entry has tried to contact any member of the Judging Panel with regard to the judging process or its outcome; attempts to influence Waterwise staff or members of the Judging Panel will result in disqualification.

Entry into the awards and attendance of the ceremony is free, as is one trophy and one certificate per winning entry and one certificate per runner-up entry. Additional trophies and certificates will be available at-cost to winners and runners-up.

Travel, accommodation and any other costs incurred in association with attendance of the Ceremony are the responsibility of the guests; Waterwise do not accept any liability for these costs.

Should you wish to withdraw your entry, you must send an email to info@waterwise.org.uk by midnight on Thursday 31st December 2015.

Waterwise reserve the right to cancel or postpone the Ceremony. Should cancellation occur, guests will be notified by email within five working days. Waterwise will not accept any liability for any costs for travel, accommodation or any other expenses incurred as a result of any cancellation or postponement of the event.

Any opinions expressed or statements made by judges, sponsors, supporters and/or media partners before, during or after judging are not made or expressed on behalf of Waterwise, unless explicitly stated as such.

In submitting the Entry Form the entrant agrees that the information contained in the Entry Form may be shared with Waterwise staff and with the Awards Judging Panel.

In submitting the Entry Form the entrant also agrees that Waterwise may contact the entrant with regard to their entry at any time in the future.

19. The deadline for applications is midnight 31st December 2015.
