Joanne Zygmunt
Programme Development and Research Manager
Joanne holds an MSc in Development and Planning from University College London and a BA in Political Science from Boston University. Before coming over from the US, Joanne worked in a stable isotope laboratory, biology research department, congressional press office and wilderness conservation charity. She volunteers her time to youth education and mentoring.
Responsibilities: Joanne joined Waterwise in 2006 working on research projects like the Evidence Base. Joanne later moved to project management, leading the national water saving programme Tap into Savings. Combining her expertise in these two areas, she is now responsible for facilitating and developing new water efficiency initiatives. Joanne is working on a training programme, series of capacity building events as well as reporting on Tap into Savings. Her interests include community engagement and project evaluation.
On Waterwise: “No one here thinks or works in a box because we’ve got so much going on in policy, communications, research and delivery. Working in a team to approach water efficiency holistically is always challenging but hugely rewarding.”
