Ike graduated with an honours degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London. He then went on to study a postgraduate degree jointly at the Institut Francais du Petrole (IFP) in France and McGill University in Canada. Consequently he worked as a Chemical Engineer in the oil industry where he gained excellent technical experience, managed large, complex projects and became a Chartered Member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers.  He gained an MBA from the University of Edinburgh Management School. Since working in the industry for over seven years, Ike has worked on developing our understanding of how different approaches to water efficiency use can contribute to sustainable development. Ike gained a Master’s degree in Hydrology and Environmental Management in 2008 and since then has led Waterwise’s work on the ‘Evidence Base for Large Scale Water Efficiency’, which is sponsored by Defra, the Environment Agency and Ofwat. Ike is the main author of the project reports, which collate industry knowledge of water efficiency in homes, schools and is developing evidence on water use in businesses.
