Ike Omambala
Technical Research Manager
Ike graduated with an honours degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London. He then went on to study a postgraduate degree jointly at the Institut Francais du Petrole (IFP) in France and McGill University in Canada. He subsequently worked as a chemical engineer in the oil industry where he gained excellent technical experience, managing large, complex projects and became a Chartered Member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers.
He holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh Management School and a Master’s degree in Hydrology and Environmental Management. Since working in the water industry for over seven years, Ike has worked on developing our understanding of how different approaches to water efficiency can contribute to sustainable development.
Responsibilities: Ike leads Waterwise’s work on the ‘Evidence Base for Large Scale Water Efficiency’, which is sponsored by Defra, the Environment Agency and Ofwat. Ike is the main author of the project reports, which collate industry knowledge of water efficiency in homes, schools and is developing evidence on water use in businesses.
