Waterwise Recruiting Board Members

1 July 2015

We are looking for a new Board Chair and a new Board Member.

Waterwise is a small but high profile NGO that promotes the efficient use of water. We are looking for a new Board Chair and a new Board Member. The posts are non-remunerated, but expenses will be met. The Board meets up to six times a year, in London. Applicants should possess some of the following attributes:

  • an interest in sustainability
  • a knowledge of the water sector
  • an understanding of finance and/or governance
  • a level of experience and/or network of contacts that would benefit the organisation
  • an understanding of the pressures on, and operating conditions in, a small NGO
  • a sense of humour (this is essential and, in keeping with our water efficiency objectives, should probably be dry)

In addition, the Board Chair should have board level management experience, have knowledge of policy and politics, have media experience and have an in-depth understanding of or be recognised in the environmental, consumer or utilities sectors.

Appointments will be for three years, renewable for a further three years.

Applicant should send a covering letter of no more than one page and a CV to Samantha Vickerman (email: postal: Waterwise, 180 Piccadilly, London, W1J 9HF) by 1st of August. Interviews will be held in the first week of September.
