UK Water Efficiency Awards now closed for entry.

Winners will be announced on September 17.

The Environment Agency and Waterwise, supported by Bosch and Methven, are looking for entries into the 6th Water Efficiency Awards – a biannual competition that celebrates the achievements of public, private and third sector organisations in making the UK more water efficient. The rewards for being a winner or runner up include an invitation to the House of Lords for the Awards Ceremony, hosted by Rt Hon Lord Smith of Finsbury, Chairman of the Environment Agency and Jacob Tompkins, Managing Director of waterwise. The Water Minister, Richard Benyon MP, will also be in attendance.

Other benefits include:

  • Permission to use a congratulatory quote from Rt Hon Lord Smith of Finsbury, Chairman of the Environment Agency, in press releases, on websites and in marketing materials
  • Permission to use an entry feedback quote from Prof Alan Alexander, Chair of Waterwise, in press releases, on websites and in marketing materials
  • Permission to use official ceremony photos in press releases, on websites and in marketing materials
  • License to use the UK Water Efficiency Awards 2012 Winner (or Runner up) logo on websites and marketing materials

Other winners have come from many diverse fields, including water companies, steel manufacturing, agriculture, food production including bakeries and meat processors, and horticulture. This year we are seeking applications from all over the UK to find the most innovative, effective and inspiring projects.
