Waterwise enews - October 2009
|
| Introduction from Gaetane Suzenet, Operations Director |
Today is the national launch of our consultation on the future of water efficiency in the UK and I am very pleased to introduce our October e-newsletter. I was appointed Operations Director six months ago and am mainly responsible for implementing and directing the Waterwise strategy for the next ten years. A lot of activities to promote and deliver water efficiency are and has already been taking place and I was amazed how much Waterwise has achieved within the four years of their existence, when I joined. We need to build on all these initiatives and the joint projects and programmes. We need to think pro-actively now as to what is required for scaling water efficiency up for the next ten years if we do not want to miss addressing the challenges and opportunities ahead of us. We need to step up the efforts and ensure that water efficiency becomes mainstream across society. The consultation document below proposes a number of future activities and shared actions. It lists questions but you do not have to answer all of them. Please feel free to pick and choose or do give us any comments you think you should be relevant for us. We look forward to your feedback and contributions!
